4 Search Engines That Make Planning a Trip Less Overwhelming

I know planning a vacation can be overwhelming for many people. There are a lot of things to consider, like “how can I make this affordable? Where should I stay? What should I do when I get there?”
Here are 4 travel search engines that answers all of these questions and make planning a trip less overwhelming:

1. Travel Zoo

I love Travel Zoo as big picture overview of travel possibilities. Each week they publish theirΒ Top 20 DealsΒ which are a result from searching deals from 1000+ companies globally. Their deals are a mix of flights, hotels, experiences, and complete packages. Their Top 20 Deals all include a quote from a Deal Expert explaining why the deal is so great and instructions on how to book the deal.

2. Groupon Getaways

When you think about Groupon, your mind probably doesn’t automatically go to travel deals, but they actually have decent amount ofΒ Top-Rated Getaways. It gives you the options to search by destinations and dates. You can also filter by air-inclusive trips, beach, family fun, outdoor &Β adventure, international & tours, last minute, and romantic getaways. Groupon negotiates directly with hotels and tour operators to obtain their discounts. Their deals tend to last for a limited time, so you would have to make a decision fast before it sells out. Pro-tip:Β Groupon is not only available in cities in the USA, it is also available in 100 cities in Europe, Asia, and South America. A few years ago, I went onΒ Groupon ItalyΒ to book a great deal for a hotel stay in Sorrento. When planning your trip check to see if Groupon is available for your destination of interest. Don’t worry about language barriers, many web browsers will translate your webpage for you!

Things to Consider:Β Both Travel Zoo and Groupon travel deals are for certain dates and with departures from particular cities. However, most of them will allow you to depart from a different city for a slightly increase charge.

From spending a lot of time on Travel Zoo I realized that a lot of the deals were coming from specific travel sites including, Cheap Caribbean and Trip Masters.

3. Cheap Caribbean.com

Cheap Caribbean.comΒ is a travel search engine dedicated to affordable caribbean travel. I appreciate how you can customize the website to show you deals from your departing location of choice.

Budget Beach Finder

A cool feature of CheapΒ Caribbean.comΒ is their Budget Beach Finder, which allows you to find deals based on your specified budget and number of travelers in your group.

4. Tripmasters

TripmastersΒ operates in Europe, Asia, Pacific & Middle East, and Latin America. You can search through tons of exciting and affordable pre-made itineraries or you can build your own itinerary. A few years ago I used Tripmasters to build my own itinerary to Paris, Barcelona, and Rome. It was my first time visiting Europe and this site definitely made the planning process a breeze!

There you have it, 4 search engines you should bookmark for stress-free trip planning.Β What are your favorite travel search engines to use?

I am going to keep these in mind. Except I knew about Groupon. The next time I go on a trip it will be my first time planning! So I am trying to take everything in and I definitely want to plan it without using an agent if I can.
